hybrid images. next step: hybrid design? |
This one’s bit hard to explain, so just look at the images. Then move back a few meters from the screen. Look again. Or keep looking while you’re moving back. Or not. Anyway, it might be helpful to read the article that comes with the images, because today I’m hardly able to spell hibryd hyrbid hybird hybrid correctly, not to think of explaining this.
Enjoy!

yep - i’ve heared about it — but to be honest — i’m far away from being impressed. it’s triviality is only beaten by it’s limitations.
sure: if you step back, small details, thin lines etc become less important and the “macro” contrast shapes become the main information. but this is sooo lame?!

Flaccus might have a point here, but try taking it out of the box and putting it into other contexts. Let’s say ‘advertising’ (yawn), for example: What if you used the pic of the BMX bike on huge posterwalls which turn into Yamaha Superbike ads when you move away? That might create some awareness, not too mention the buzz for early adopters. I’m hungry.

whatever you might think about it, there’s definitely one good thing about it: you have to get up and look at your computer from the distance - this is more movement than i’ve had the last month in the office….
