working on webdesign - calculating columns widths and margins could be a pain in the ass. especially if it turns out that you have done a “1pixel-mistake” in your rough final layouts… don’t know why, but in general you realize these kind of mistakes when you think “ok, i’m done”
so grid designer is a very useful tool.
